Pastor Josh Scribner
Growing up in the Lighthouse Church, Josh Scribner attended the first Lighthouse Church School K-12 class in 1983. He graduated from the LCA and continued his education at UCLA. With nine years teaching experience in all grade levels, as well as a pastor for 20 years, he has a desire to help students achieve their full potential in their academic and spiritual lives. Josh loves his family, surfing, and most of all, loves Jesus.
Mrs. Kari Czer
Mrs. Kari Czer received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from the University of Southern California and completed the course work for a Masters in professional writing. Later, she received a Standard Elementary Teaching credential from USC. She taught for the Culver City Unified School District and the Baldwin Park Unified School District for 10 years. Mrs. Czer has now been teaching at Lighthouse Church School since 2002.
Mrs. Carla Tenorio
Carla Cedillo graduated from the LCA in 2005. Utilizing her background in Early Childhood Development education, Carla has been teaching for over 10 years. It is such a blessing for her to teach at the school that invested so much time in her. She believes she would not be where she is today if it were not for the education she received at Lighthouse Church School.
Ms. Hannah Hosni
Hannah was born and raised in the Lighthouse Church. Growing up in a family called to the mission field, she attended the Lighthouse school on and off from Kindergarten through high school and was homeschooled when out pioneering. One of the places God called her family to was France, where Hannah became fluent in French. Back in the states she continued her education at SMC. With a background in Early Childhood Education Hannah has taught at the Lighthouse schools filling various roles over the past 12 years while also raising three children of her own. She has always felt a call to impart the love of Christ to children and is excited for this new opportunity to do so.
Mrs. Brenda Bowen
Brenda Bowen has been teaching for many years in both the United States and Africa, where she was a missionary for 20 years. She received her Bachelors Degree from University of South Florida and completed the Basic Teacher Accreditation Course with ACSI. While on the mission field, she founded a school in Sierra Leone. Now, back in the United States, Mrs. Bowen considers teaching at LCS to be one of her greatest blessings.
Mr. Lucas Moraida
Lucas is originally from Tucson, Arizona. He moved to Los Angeles five years ago and attended Santa Monica College. He is currently pursuing his Masters in English. When he is not teaching inside a classroom, you can find him coaching the Junior High and High School track team, as well as the High School football team. Lucas loves his wife, and is so thankful to Jesus for all He has done in his life. He is proud to be apart of the the team at LCS.
Mrs. Allegra Scribner
Born and raised on Kaua’i, Hawai’i, Allegra came to California to attend Biola University, where she earned her BA in Cinema and Media Arts. Allegra enjoys using creativity and storytelling to make learning fun and memorable for her students, while pointing them to Jesus. On her days off, Allegra can be found surfing, boxing, or spending time with her loved ones.
